Bring out your inner Cookie Monster to our cookie inspired challenge event. All you need to do to be a finisher is complete 1 lap...but why stop there when Runbelievable Half, Ultra half, Marathon or even Ultra badges are there to be earned, but that is up to you run as few or as many laps as you like within the 7 hour time limit. We are absolutely encouraging people to bring their homemade cookies along for others to enjoy, after all cookies must surely be the best running fuel?! There will be spot prizes for the best creations so dust off your aprons and get baking! And if you don't win a prize? Well we're afraid that's just the way the cookie crumbles.....(Groan!)
What do I get?
You will receive
1) A really special finishers medal, custom made and designed, not a generic one.
2) A well stocked goody bag with plenty of nibbles for during and post race replenishment.
Where is the event?
Jeskyns Country Park Cobham, Kent DA123AN
When do I get my race number?
You'll pick this up on race day from the race base camp. Any elite SVN runners please could you bring your elite number as any running totals with us will also contribute to your SVN miles.
You can use RingGo at Jeskyns which allows you to pay for parking online or via an app. Please download the Ringo App before travelling if you can. Parking charges are currently £3.50 per day.
We'll start the route right by our red gazebo which you'll be able to see from the parking area. Plan A is to have a 3.28 mile route, the majority of which will be on very high quality "bike path" type trails and a little bit of semi decent trail.
As long as its not monsoon type conditions (in which case we'd almost certainly re-route to a shorter 100% bike path route) you'd be fine in road shoes on this course. We do reserve the right to alter the course for this one as the final route will only be set upon a final recce/consultation with the Head Ranger a few days before the event.
Are there time limits?
Yes, seven hours to run as many laps as you can. As long as you are on your final lap before 6 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds then you are good for one more.
Any runner completing 26.2 miles or more will have completed marathon distance and will count as a marathon finish for the purposes of the 100 Marathon Club, if you complete over 27 miles then you've completed an ultra. As long as you finish one lap then you'll receive an official finish time, medal and chocolate. With timed events there are no DNFs.
Do I have to run for the whole time?
No! You can stop at any time you wish, just as long as you complete one lap you are an official finisher.
Can I stop at marathon distance?
Yes. If you complete the loop you're on and your final distance is 26.2 miles or more it will count as a marathon finish by 100 Marathon Club standards.
Do you have secure baggage facilities
There will be a small bag drop area located next to base camp where you can leave your belongings but this is entirely at your own risk.
Is the course closed to the public?
No. We are using the Jeskyns country park which is shared with ramblers, dogwalkers, and cyclists. Runners do not have the right of way and need to be considerate of other users of the land. Please don't litter, we'll have a bin at the base camp.
What on course facilities do you provide?
Lots of goodies and water, squash, cola available at the aid station.
Are there any facilities at the start/finish area?
There will be toilets on site , and the Jeskyns café will be open from 9.00am
Can I use an ipod or mp3 player on the course?
Yes. Though please be aware that you are running on public footpaths with the general public so make sure that you pay attention to cyclists, people, dogs, horse riders, wildlife and so on.
